Corrections & right of reply

How projects can respond to, correct or remove their report. The times below are targets that one person tries to meet. They are not promises, and a missed target does not change a score.

Right of reply

Claimed projects (signature with the upgrade authority / deployer key, a DNS TXT record, or a one-line file on the project's website or in its GitHub organisation; every project page has a “Claim this page” link) can add a reply that is shown next to any check, after we have reviewed it. Target: 3 working days.

Disputing a check

Point to the evidence; we re-run the check. If the data still says the same, the check is unchanged but your comment is shown beside it. Target for a first answer: 5 working days.

What “Disputed” means

If a project shows evidence that makes it plausible that a check is wrong, that one check is labelled “Disputed, under review since [date]” and a pending change to the project's grade is paused. This lasts at most 10 working days and only when evidence has been given; saying “this is wrong” is not enough. The score itself is never changed because someone asks, only because the evidence changed. Where an external reviewer is available, a disputed check can be looked at by them; that is not guaranteed.

Obvious factual errors

Wrong address, program ID or link: we aim to correct or hide it within 3 working days (a target), and log it in the change log.

Before a project is first listed, and before a grade is lowered

During the beta there is no waiting period before a project is first listed. A later change that lowers a grade is published on the next nightly run; a large swing is held for a person first. If anything is wrong, send a correction and we re-run the check. Grade increases are published immediately. Details: Methodology, “Previews before publication”.

Unpublishing

A claimed project can always withdraw its report. The page then shows “unpublished at the owner's request” without content, and the badge stops working.

Personal data

Reports are about projects, not people. Team names are shown only with each person's consent and are never sent to AI providers. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. We aim to act within 3 working days and always within the legal deadline of one month. Privacy →

Opt-out for listings that are not claimed

Projects listed from public data without their involvement can ask to be removed from the directory. We aim to hide the listing within 3 working days (a target); a reply from an address on the project's official domain is enough.

Separate from anything we sell

Paid products are kept entirely separate from previews, corrections and disputes: they are never mentioned in them, there is no sales contact with a project during a preview, an open dispute or the 30 days after, and payment never affects timing, priority or outcome.

Contact and response time

Median response time: not shown yet. It appears here after 10 resolved requests (0 so far); until then any number would mean nothing.
